Terms of Service

Using khipa

By creating an account, you agree to use khipa for lawful purposes only. You are responsible for the content you save and share, including anything made public via a shared space.

Plans

khipa has four plans: Free (€0), Pro (€3 a month), Max (€5 a month) and Labs (€10 a month). A paid plan has a flat price: it does not depend on how much you use the app, how many items you save, how many questions you ask or how much storage you use. Each plan has its own item, storage, AI and watcher allowances, shown in the app before you upgrade. Free is analysis-only: at most 100 items (live and in the trash), 500 MB of storage, no questions and no archived copies. Pro has no item limit and includes questions and archived copies. Max and Labs add more storage and higher AI and watcher limits. The AI allowance of every plan is a hard daily cap: when the day's allowance is spent, summaries and questions wait for the next day. A downgrade, or a payment that lapses, never deletes data: the items, notes and files you already have stay, and the lower plan's allowances apply from then on. If you are over a limit after a downgrade, you keep what you have and cannot add more until you are under it. Prices may change: we tell you before a change applies to your plan, and it never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Summaries and suggestions

If you switch them on, summaries, keywords, tag suggestions and the kind of a linked page are generated automatically and may be wrong.

Questions

You can ask a question about an item on a paid plan. The answer is generated by AI from the content khipa has saved for that item (its text, note and one image, when it has one). Answers may be wrong or incomplete, and are not saved unless you add them to the note. Asking does not require the analysis switch, and a shared item needs nothing beyond the visibility you already have.

Reminders

Reminders are best effort, not alarms. We do not guarantee that a notification is delivered or when it arrives: it depends on the push services of your browser vendor, on the state of your device, on your browser's settings, and on the device being online (a notification is dropped if the device is offline for more than 12 hours). Do not rely on reminders for anything time critical or safety related.

Watchers

Watchers are best effort. A site may refuse khipa's request, change how it shows a price or a page, or go offline, and then a watcher cannot read it and stops after seven days. A page is checked once a day, so a change that comes and goes between two checks can be missed, and a change is told only after a second check about an hour later has confirmed it. A price that depends on the size, the colour, the region or the cookies of a visit may differ from what you see, and a notice may be late, missing or wrong. Do not rely on watchers for anything time critical, or for a purchase or a decision that depends on a price being exactly what a notice says: check the page yourself.

Archived copies

On a paid plan, khipa may keep an archived copy of a link's page. The copy is a personal snapshot of the page as it appeared when it was captured: it may be incomplete, because a page may hide content behind a sign-in, load it after the capture or refuse to be read, and it is not kept up to date. It belongs to the item's owner alone and is never shown on a public space. It is deleted with the item, including when an archived item is permanently purged after 30 days. A Free plan does not create new copies, but copies stored while a plan was paid stay until the item is deleted.

Public spaces

If you make a space public, its contents become visible to anyone with the link. Do not publish content you don't have the right to share. We may remove public spaces that violate applicable law or receive credible abuse reports.

Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
